Indications have emerged that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will zone the position of Senate Presidency to the South East to assuage feelings of people from the region.

SAHELIAN TIMES gathered that the decision to zone the National Assembly leadership to the South East is intended to appease those who clamoured for the presidency to be zoned to the area.

According to a source close to the president elect, Tinubu has vowed to ensure that all regions of the country were represented in his new government regardless of their political parties.

He said that Tinubu was said to have already informed some of his supporters among the elected senators to start shopping for anyone from the Southeast as the next Senate President.

It was reliably gathered that the zoning of the Senate Presidency and the speakership of the 10th House will be among the top agenda of a meeting between the president elect and the  National Assembly members-elect slated at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Monday.
