Ahmed Bola Tinubu’s Presidential Campaign manager, Abdulmumini Jibrin Kofa, is set to dump the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Kofa, a former federal lawmaker who is now the executive director of the Federal Housing Administration (FHA), announced on his personal social media pages that he would announce his new political party within the next 24 hours.

“I have done my best for APC. Its time to move on. I will announce my new political party within the next 24 hours insha Allah, I will make a formal statement in due course, he said.

After a fallout with Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, Kofa lost his seat in the lower chamber of the House of Representatives in 2019.

Later, the former lawmaker reconciled with Ganduje and was appointed to the Federal Housing Estate.

The Kano Chapter of the All Progressive Congress is embroiled in internal strife, with many heavyweights planning to leave the party.
