The All Progressives Congress (APC) vice presidential candidate, Kashim Shettima, claims that his principal, Bola Tinubu, is healthier than him.
In a live Facebook discussion titled Fashin Baki, the vice presidential candidate claimed Tinubu is physically and mentally fit to be Nigerian president and despite his age did not have diabetes or hypertension.
“Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is even healthier than me because I have diabetes and hypertension, whereas he does not. Even the early Parkinson’s disease that has been mentioned is simply a lack of sleep.
“Former Presidents Theodore Roosevelt, Abdelaziz Bouteflika, and Daniel arap Moi of America, Algeria, and Kenya, respectively, led their countries through economic prosperity while on wheelchairs.
“Leadership isn’t like doing unskilled labor like carrying cement bags. It’s more mental than physical labor,” he said.
The former Borno State governor also asserted that their track record as governors will speak to their capacity as leaders.
