No fewer than 20 residents fleeing bandits’ attack died in a boat mishap at Guni village, Munya Local Government Area of Niger State.
A passenger of the boat that survived told SAHELIAN TIMES that the accident occurred on Wednesday as a result of an overload on the boat.
The fleeing passengers ran away from Kurbaku village of the state because of incessant attacks by bandits to seek refuge in neighbouring villages.
