Tragedy struck in the ancient city of Kano as a middle-age man murdered his 10-year-old son after a complaint from his wife.
The man, named Lawal, tortured the 10-year old son, Abba with pestle, after the deceased’s stepmother complained that he developed a habit of staying long whenever he was sent on errands.
Following the complaint, the father allegedly locked the house and repeatedly hit the boy with a pestle, according to an eyewitness.
Lawal, however, attempted run away after discovering that the boy had passed away before he runs out of luck.
The Police Public Relationship Officer, DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, who confirmed the incident said that the police have arrested Lawal at the Kano abattoir while he was trying to escape.
