UDUS lecturer, 4 others released by bandits

Five more victims of the Abuja-Kaduna train attack have regained their freedom after spending over 4 months in terrorists’ captivity.

One of the victims identified as Dr Mustapha Imam is the Director of the Center for Advanced Medical Research, Usman Danfodio University, Sokoto.

Another victim identified as Mukhtar Shuaibu was said to have been shot while in their custody

Shuaibu was shot during a “friendly fire” while in the den of the terrorists.

Tukur Mamu, the Publisher of Kaduna-based Desert Herald and Media Consultant to controversial Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, who withdrew as one of the negotiators, confirmed the release of the five hostages.
