Aisha Tahir, an ex-girlfriend of the Vice Chancellor (VC) of Umaru Musa Yar’Adua University, Katsina, has denied reports alleging that she had illicit affairs with the controversial VC.

In an interview with our reporter, she said that, “we wrote the petition because he threatened me to keep our relationship secret. Otherwise nothing of that sort happened between us.”

“He sought my hand in marriage, and our wedding date was initially fixed. But he later started threatening me not to tell anyone about our failed relationship. Apart from this, I have nothing against him,” she said.

“I don’t have problem with his other girlfriends. My problem is that he sought my hand in marriage, but he is now trying to inform anyhow that we had no relationship because of his selfish interest,” she clarified.

“I have seen what is trending on social media, but I don’t know anything of such nature,” Aisha said while dismissing the reports linking her petition to issues of sexual exploitation.
