Suspected bandits killed three farmers in Ogun state, hours after government delegation visited the Hausa community in a move to douse growing tension generated by the latest violent attacks on the Hausas perpetrated by the Yorubas.

The Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer confirmed this news to journalists, while stating that their personnel had since arrived at the place and already started investigating the incident.

Reports say that the unidentified men occupied the Agbon-Ojodu area in Eselu Local Government, burnt down houses and killed three farmers.

Earlier in the day, the Ogun state government delegation visited the community mainly occupied by Hausa people in a move to calm the security threat in the state.

The delegation also reaffirmed the state government commitment to stop the conflict and denounced quit notice ultimatum given to Fulani people in the Southwest region.
