The Yoruba nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has been awarded an honorary doctorate degree in war and peace studies by Triune Biblical University.

Igboho posted a certificate and a series of photos from the varsity event in Brooklyn, New York, the United States, to his Instagram page.

“Congratulations to me as I was conferred Doctor of peace and security management/international relations with specialization in war/conflict and peace studies from Truine Biblical University, USA.

“It’s such an honor to know that Yoruba nation’s efforts are not in vain,” he wrote

Some of those in attendance of the event included Banji Akintoye, leader of the Yoruba self-determination movement; Banji Ayiloge, vice chairman of the Yoruba self-determination movement; Wale Adeniran, vice chairman of Ilana Omo Odua; and Titi Aboyade Cole, publicity director of the YSDM.

It should be noted that Igboho was arrested in July in Cotonou, Benin Republic, for allegedly falsifying his passport.
