Wales men’s football team secured a spot to play in the 2022 world cup tournament in Qatar for the first time in 64 years after beating Ukraine. A Yarmolenko own goal from Gareth Bale’s freekick in the 34th minute made the difference after 90 minutes.

Wales will now join England, USA and Iran in Group B ahead of the tournament in November.

“We’re going to world cup. It means everything. We’ve been working towards it since I first came here. Words can’t describe how we feel at the moment,” said Bale.
