Why we removed Sheik Ibrahim Khalil-  Kano Council of Ulama

Kano State Council  of Ulama has said that it removed its former Chairman, Sheik Ibrahim Khalil for allegedly involving in partisan politics.

The secretary of the coalition of Ulam, Imam Jamilu Abubakar said that they decided to remove sheikh Ibrahim Khalil from the chairmanship of the council due to his involvement in partisan politics.

Abubakar, pointed out that the renowned scholar has been at loggerheads with the administration of Malam Ibrahim Shekarau, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, and that of Ganduje.

They said the ousted chairman has been nursing to contest Gubernatorial election in the past administrations and if he did not get the ticket of the ruling party he fell out with the Government of the day.

The council later announced the appointment of Professor Abdallah Sale Pakistan as the new chairman of the council.

 Sheikh Abdallah Sale Pakistan who is currently the chairman of Kano state pilgrims welfare board is the chief Imam of Sheikh Jaafar Mahmud Mosque Tudun Murtala.

Pakistan becomes famous during the 2019 election for publicly campaigning for governor of Kano State Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
