A woman is accused of killing her rival’s three children by poisoning their tea.
The incident took place in the town of Potiskum in Yobe State in northeastern Nigeria.
The woman is currently in police custody and an investigation has been launched.
One man and two women are currently hospitalised.
Alhaji Haruna, the husband of the woman, confirmed the incident in an interview with the BBC, and said they had now informed the authorities to take action.
Yobe police spokesman ASP Dungus Abdulkarim confirmed the deaths, and said they were still investigating.
