Zamfara state Governor Bello Matawalle has accused traditional rulers for sabotaging his government’s effort to curtail the insecurity in the state.
Matawalle made this known in a meeting with Zamfara stakeholders and security agencies in the state saying some traditional rulers are not doing their best on Zamfara security matters.
He said their inaction is playing significant role in fanning the embers of insecurity bedeviling the state.
He also revealed that traditional rulers are conniving with armed groups in their respective district, saying they’re helping gunmen to launch reprisal attacks on security personnel.
