Zamfara imposes dusk-to-dawn curfew in Jangebe

Zamfara state Government has approved the imposition of a dusk-to-dawn curfew at Jangebe town starting from Wednesday, 3rd March, 2021.

In a statement signed by the State Commissioner of information, Sulaiman Tunau Anka, said the decision was taken to prevent any further breach of peace.

Yesterday, the state government handed over the students to their parents at the school premises but some residents in Jangebe village used the opportunity and stoned police to show their grievances after the return of the released abducted school children.

“there is strong discovered evidence of Market activities in the town that aid and abet bandits activities in the town and neighboring communities. Consequently, all market activities in the town are hereby suspended until further notice,” Suleiman Anka said

He added that the state government is poised to ensure safety of lives and properties of its citizens at all cost, he also ask Zamfara State Police Command to ensure total enforcement.
