Zamfara State House of Assembly has transmitted a notice of impeachment to the state’s deputy governor, Mahdi Aliyu Gusau.
Chairman Public Affairs committee of the House of Assembly revealed this to Channels Television in Gusau.
Gusau is accused of breaching some sections of the Nigerian Constitution in the discharge of his responsibilities as the deputy governor as well as while he was acting as the state governor.
The House also said that it found the deputy governor guilty of diverting public funds for personal use and alleged plans to defraud the state.
The deputy governor has denied all the allegations.
