Following a spike in coronavirus cases, Zimbabwe has reintroduced a 12-hour lockdown from 6 pm until 6 am.

The dusk to dawn curfew was declared on Saturday by the Vice President of the country, despite grumbling by the citizens.

However, Health Minister Constantino Chiwenga justified this decision by citing example with an increase in coronavirus cases, which is said to have almost doubled since November- rising from 8,374 cases to more than 14,000.

Zimbabwe has so far recorded 369 deaths linked to coronavirus since onset of the pandemic.
