Zulum visits hunters injured by Boko Haram’s landmine

The Governor of Borno State, Babagana Umara Zulum, has on Saturday visited the hunters injured as a result of a landmine attack.

The hunters were injured while on patrol along Sambisa forest.

At least 7 of them died on the spot, while 16 others, that sustained injuries, are in the hospital receiving treatment.

The Commissioner of Sports and Empowerment, Hon. Sainna Buba said, “11 out of the 16 injured have been discharged after receiving treatment at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital.”

Zulum arrived from Abuja on Saturday after attending a closed-door meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, and Director General of NEMA, Air Vice Marshall Muhammadu Muhammad (Rtd).
